FIT-Oil Help

      What is FIT-Oil ?

FIT-Oil is a software for the interpretation of microthermometric data obtained on petroleum fluid inclusions.

With FIT-Oil you can :

Enter microthermometric data:

You can:
- specify the homogenization temperatures,
- indicate volumetric estimations of gas bubbles as a function of the temperature,
- enter the molar compositions of CO2, H2S and N2.

Use a composition model:

A compositional model allows you to approximate the compositions of the petroleums.
You can either:
- use the (alpha-beta) composition model,
- or specify a composition model of your own.

Exploit volumetric data:

this way can help you to constrain better the petroleum compositions.

Calculate the immiscibility loop:

You can produce a phase diagram in a pressure-temperature plot.

Calculate the isochors of your petroleum inclusions:

Isochors are calculated both in the monophasic and biphasic fields.

Estimate the trapping conditions.

you can obtain an estimate of the trapping pressure of your petroleum inclusions by considering coeval aqueous fluid inclusions, whose homogenisation temperatures yield the trapping temperature of petroleum inclusions.
